The end of season

Frustrating season has come to an end. I'll write another text about it, in a few weeks, I just need time distance after the worst season ever. In the meantime, in the last round, only one official bet.

Lokomotiva – Dinamo OVER 3.25 GOALS 2.12@SBO
Dinamo is champion, Lokomotiva secured ELQ and I expect relaxed match with lots of goals.

This is the list of bets I'll take – not for the full stake, as the only question before the final round is who will be at the 5th place – RNK Split or Inter Zapresic.

This is short list – bets I'll take, but not at full stake:

(-0.5) INTER – Osijek 1.81@SBO
Lokomotiva – (-1) DINAMO 1.82@SBO
(-1.5) RIJEKA – Istra 1.79@SBO
Rijeka – Istra OVER 3 GOALS 1.71@SBO

NK Zagreb – (-0.25) HAJDUK 2.11@SBO

Saturday, May 7th

CFL: Lokomotiva – (-0.5) ZAGREB (5.68@Pinnacle)

If Lokomotiva wins vs Zagreb, they'll secure 4th spot which brings ELQ. But, they're not in good form (they lost 3 of the last 4 matches), and Zagreb is still hoping. After all, If Zagreb wins today, RNK Split will be motivated for sure to win away at Istra (Lokomotiva plays vs Dinamo in the last round, which means Split still has chance to reach the 4th spot). And Istra plays at mighty Rijeka in the last round, while Zagreb will play at home vs unmotivated Hajduk. And while there's hope… Zagreb has 2 wins in the last 3 matches, and they had 0:0 vs Slaven Belupo in the last round (then they conceeded a goal and fell apart). It may look like a long shot, but Zagreb players are fully motivated, and I'm sure they'll do their best to win this match.

I can definitely see a low (or no) scoring draw in Osijek – Rijeka match, but since both clubs secured their positions, and some youngsters will get their chance, I just have to stay out of this one.
We might have a bet or 2 tomorrow as well, so tune in at 11 AM GMT.

Sunday, May 1st

CFL: Osijek – Hajduk DRAW (3.16@Pinnacle)

Hajduk will end this season on 3rd place – and Osijek on 8th, that's a fact. And although they' could be quite relaxed, they won't. Hajduk is taking this one seriously – they travelled by plane (and they were travelling by bus the whole season). Osijek is always tough away game for them (only 1 win in the last 10 matches – but as much as 4 draws). Both teams have selection problems, specially in the offensive line up. Osijek hasn't score for 5 rounds, Hajduk has 20 clean sheets this season, and a goalless draw is the most probably outcome here (that was the result of the last 3 Hajduk's away matches and 3 of 4 last Osijek matches). Middle margin set at 2.0 on O/U market is more than real, so no value there.

CFL: (-1) RIJEKA - RNK Split (1.61@Pinnacle)
CFL: Rijeka - RNK Split UNDER 3.0 GOALS (1.59@Pinnacle)

I was surprised to see odds coming my way, but that's the case and I just have to take this bet. Although Rijeka has some offensive selection problems (Tomasov and Gavranovic), and although RNK Split is tough defensive minded team, I'm sure Rijeka will win at least 1:0 (2:0 is the most probable result, if you ask me). Bezjak and Balaj should be enough to solve RNK Split. Rijeka still has theoretically chance to be the champion, coack Kek says that they want all 9 points till the end, and after all - they're undefeated at home this season (11 wins and 5 draws). Btw, Rijeka won all 3 H2H matches this season: 2:1 twice and 2:0 once.

Recap and more pick(s) coming

Horrible day at the office – Zagreb – Slaven Belupo played an equal match for the first 80 minutes, then SB scored the first and then Zagreb fell apart. Dinamo scored an early goal, crated lots of chances in a match that looked like „today – Dinamo will be training offense, and Istra – defense“. Obviously that guests weren't quite bad at it. However, situation on the table is clear (unless some kind of miracles happen) – Zagreb is relegated, Istra is in the play-offs, Dinamo is the champion once again, Rijeka and Hajduk will play in the EL qualifiers, as well as Lokomotiva (Dinamo will probably win the Cup), Split is 5th, Osijek is 8th – and the only remaining question is – will Inter keep the 6th place, or Slaven Belupo will catch them. We will have some picks today and in the remaining two rounds.
